Manuscript Submission & Ethical Guidelines
Author Guidelines: Journal of Clinical Psychology and Ethics (JCPE)
The Journal of Clinical Psychology and Ethics (JCPE) invites authors to submit original research. The following guidelines outline requirements for manuscript preparation, submission, and peer review.
Manuscript Preparation
Manuscripts must be written clearly and concisely, adhering to the structure below:
1. Title Page: Include the manuscript title, full names of all authors, institutional affiliations, corresponding author contact information, and acknowledgments (if applicable).
2. Abstract: Provide a structured summary of approximately 250 words covering the background/research question, methodology, key findings, and conclusions/implications.
3. Keywords: Include 4–6 relevant keywords reflecting the study's focus.
4. Main Text:
I. Introduction: Define the problem, objectives, rationale, and relevant literature.
II. Methodology: Describe the design, participants, instruments, data collection, and analysis, including ethical approval and consent procedures.
III. Results: Present findings objectively with appropriate statistical analyses, tables, and figures.
IV. Discussion: Interpret results in context, discuss limitations, and propose future directions.
V. Conclusion: Summarize findings and potential impact.
5. References: Follow APA 7th edition format.
6. Figures and Tables: Include concise captions, ensure each is referenced in the text, and provide images at print quality (≥300 dpi).
Submission Process
1. Online Submission: Submit all necessary files (manuscript, figures, tables, supplementary materials) via the JCPE online system.
2. Cover Letter: Summarize the study's significance, relevance to JCPE, and originality; confirm the manuscript is not under consideration elsewhere.
3. Ethical Compliance: Research must comply with ethical standards (e.g., IRB approval for human participants); submit documentation with the manuscript.
Peer Review Process
1. JCPE employs a double-blind peer review process where manuscripts are reviewed by two or more experts.
2. Authors may be requested to revise their manuscripts based on feedback.
3. Revision: Address all reviewer and editor comments in a detailed response letter and submit the revised manuscript via the online system.
Ethical Considerations & Conflicts of Interest
1. Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
2. Research must adhere to ethical guidelines for participant consent, data handling, and confidentiality.
Copyright & Licensing
1. Authors retain full copyright and publishing rights.
2. Upon acceptance, JCPE is granted a non-exclusive license of first publication.
3. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which allows sharing, adaptation, and commercial use provided proper attribution is given.
Publication Fees
1. JCPE is a fully open-access journal; all content is freely available globally.
2. There are no submission fees, publication fees, or article processing charges (APC) for authors.
Article Types
JCPE accepts the same variety of peer-reviewed article types as established in your guidelines, including Original Research, Systematic Reviews, Methods, Reviews, Mini Reviews, Hypothesis and Theory, Clinical Trials, Case Reports, General Commentary, Editorials, and Study Protocols.
